About Me
For the past 16 years, Bloomington has been more than just my address — it’s been the heart of my family’s life. After growing up in Green Bay and living in Seattle, my high school sweetheart, Matt, and I chose Bloomington for its beautiful parks and trails, its welcoming small-town spirit, and its big-city amenities. Today, we’re proud to be raising our three young daughters in this vibrant community. My career path has been as diverse as Bloomington itself: from insurance, sales and marketing, and the restaurant and retail industries, to running a home daycare, and now teaching high school math. We spend our free time exploring the Minnesota River Bottoms, attending unique events at the Pond House, and cheering at BAA sports. Whether I’m gardening, traveling, or crafting, my roots here grow deeper every day. Bloomington has given my family so much, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, give back, and work hard to ensure it continues to thrive for generations to come.
My Commitments
Fiscal Responsibility
I will prioritize careful and transparent use of Bloomington’s taxpayer dollars. Our residents work hard for their money, and the city should treat every dollar with the same care and discipline we expect in our own households. By investing in people and putting community needs first, we can build a Bloomington budget that reflects our values and keeps essential services strong.
Community Voice
As a parent and teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how much stronger a community becomes when every voice is heard. I will actively listen to Bloomington residents through neighborhood meetings, open communication, and direct outreach. I want to be a council member who collaborates—bringing people together to create solutions that reflect what you want for our city, not just what happens inside city hall.
Smart Growth & Quality of Living
As someone raising a family here, I want Bloomington to be a place where our children can thrive now and for years to come. That means supporting thoughtful development that respects our neighborhoods, protects green spaces, and strengthens public safety. It also means encouraging businesses and community resources that make life better for families, seniors, and everyone in between. My goal is to preserve what makes Bloomington special while building a vibrant, welcoming future.
